In our cutting workshop, we produce custom-sized adhesive tape rolls.

Log slitting involves placing a roll on a cutting machine fitted with single or double blades. Some of our machines are equipped with multiple arms to increase productivity. Using a programmable touchscreen, the cutting width and depth can be set with an accuracy of one tenth of a millimetre.

Production of Consistently Sized Adhesive Tape Rolls

This process produces ready-to-use rolls that can be integrated directly into production lines. Depending on the material, widths can range from 1.5 mm up to a full 1,600 mm log. The rolls can also be customized according to the selected core size. The core is the central cardboard tube that supports the log and adhesive tape rolls. Core sizes range from 25 to 50 mm for the smallest formats, up to the standard 76 mm core.*

What Is the Difference Between Adhesive Tape Log Slitting and Rewinding Slitting?

Slitting consists of cutting a wide master roll into several narrower rolls. This is carried out through an unwinding and slitting process. Log slitting, on the other hand, is performed on narrower rolls, known as logs, to produce even narrower tape widths, sometimes below 2 mm. Unlike slitting, which is used for very wide master rolls, log slitting is ideal for producing non-standard formats precisely tailored to the specific requirements of each industrial sector.
